Martialytics is one of a small number of club management tools built specifically for martial arts schools rather than adapted from gym software — and one of an even smaller number that prices in pounds. For a UK club that is two meaningful advantages before you look at a single feature.

Quick Verdict
For a UK martial arts club between roughly 25 and 200 students that runs regular gradings, Martialytics is the strongest fit available. The grading readiness view does the one job generic platforms do worst, pricing is transparent and in pounds, and every feature is included on every plan rather than tiered.
Two things will stop some clubs dead, and both are worth checking before you trial it: it is not compatible with GoCardless, and it has no family grouping. If you collect by Direct Debit through GoCardless, or a large share of your roll is siblings on one payment, resolve those first — they are not small.
What It Actually Does Well
The grading readiness view. Martialytics uses a traffic-light system showing who is ready to advance, built from attendance and time in rank. This is the difference between software that stores a belt and software that answers the question you ask every term. If you currently export a register into a spreadsheet before each grading, this is the feature that removes that job.
Everything in one place. Attendance, emergency contact details, grading lists and group email sit together. For kids’ classes in particular, having emergency contacts attached to the register rather than in a separate folder is a practical safeguarding benefit rather than a marketing line.
Honest pricing structure. From £69/month for 50 students, then per active student with volume discounts as you grow. Leads and inactive students are not charged, which matters — plenty of tools bill you for every record you have ever created. Locations, users and emails are unlimited, and there is no tier where grading or the student app is withheld.
A real trial. 30 days, no card required. That is enough time to run a full month of classes and a grading cycle through it.

The Catch
These are drawn from verified reviews on Capterra and G2, where Martialytics rates 4.7 to 4.8 out of 5 overall. A high rating and real limitations are not in conflict — these are the things reviewers raise consistently.
No GoCardless compatibility. The biggest issue for UK clubs. GoCardless is how a great many British clubs collect monthly fees by Direct Debit, and Martialytics documentation lists it as not yet compatible. If you are already running Direct Debits, this is a migration question, not a footnote.
No family grouping. Reviewers raise this repeatedly. If a meaningful share of your students are siblings paying together, the absence of family accounts is felt every billing cycle.
No true one-off payment. Reviewers report that taking a single payment switches the auto-renew to whichever card was used — awkward for one-off grading fees or kit purchases on a different card.
No reduced-permission login. There is no lite version for an assistant instructor who only needs access to registers. It is full system access or nothing.
Scaling limits past around 200 members. At least one club reported finding it lacking key features as they grew past that mark. Worth raising directly with the vendor if you are at or approaching that size.
Smaller frustrations reviewers mention: no mobile version for admin use; the email tool reports the percentage who opened but does not list who did not, making follow-up awkward; requests for more canned reports; and it does not integrate with every finance service.
Who This Is NOT For
Clubs collecting by GoCardless Direct Debit — unless you are willing to change how you take money, this is a hard stop. Ask the vendor about current status before assuming it is permanent, but do not sign up expecting it to work.
Clubs with lots of families on shared payments — without family grouping, sibling billing stays manual. Gymdesk includes family accounts as standard and is the more sensible starting point if this describes your roll.
Large schools above 200–250 students — at least one club has reported outgrowing it. Get specifics from the vendor about clubs at your scale.

Does Martialytics handle families with several children training?
